  • Sev-1: major outage or data integrity risk.
  • Sev-2: significant degradation with workaround.
  • Sev-3: minor impact and no immediate revenue risk.

Response Flow

  1. Detect and triage.
  2. Assign incident commander.
  3. Stabilize service.
  4. Communicate status updates.
  5. Resolve and verify.
  6. Publish post-incident review.

Owner-Facing Communication

For Sev-1 and Sev-2 incidents, provide updates with:

  • impact summary,
  • expected recovery timeline,
  • mitigation actions,
  • and preventive follow-up plan.
